Dates and what is announced

Moldejazz, the Molde International Jazz Festival, takes place in week 29 every year. The 2027 edition runs from Monday July 19 to Saturday July 24. Saxophonist, composer and bandleader Marius Neset is the festival's Artist in Residence in 2027, announced on July 17, 2026.

The programme page on moldejazz.no does not mention 2027 as of October 31, 2026. No concerts, venues, prices or ticket dates for 2027 have been published.

Tickets

Tickets for 2027 are sold via moldejazz.no once sales open. The festival says its newsletter gives early access to tickets. For reference, this is how it worked in 2026:

  • Ticket sales were digital, and tickets were sent by e-mail.
  • All passes had to be exchanged for a wristband in the Jazz Shop tent outside Ark Dahl in Storgata before 6 PM each day.
  • Purchased tickets were not refunded. TicketSwap was the official resale partner.
  • Concerts at Romsdalsmuseet were free for children below school age accompanied by an adult.

Getting there

According to the festival, Norwegian flies Molde-Oslo and Widerøe flies Molde-Bergen, about 50 minutes. The nearest train station is Åndalsnes, with a bus on to Molde. By car, expect heavy traffic and long queues into town and at the ferry quays during the festival. Molde Taxi has stops at the bus stop and at Forumbygget.

Where to stay

There is no festival camping. The festival lists Kviltorp Camping, 4 km east of the centre, and the cabins at Skarstua, 10 km east. Hotels named by the festival are Scandic Alexandra Molde, Scandic Seilet, Thon Hotel Moldefjord, Molde Fjordstuer and Hotell Molde, and Molde Vandrerhjem has dormitories and rooms.

Venues in 2026

Venues listed by the festival from 2026 were Bjørnsonhuset, Alexandraparken, Romsdalsmuseet, Reknesparken, Storyville, Molde Cathedral, Teatret Vårt, Kroa, Hjertøya, Fuzzy and Die Tankstelle. Venues for 2027 have not been announced. Most of the central venues are within walking distance of each other.
